Enough with the "diploma mills" and with the possibility of doing 4 years of school in 1. A law against "shortened" school careers is being examined by the Council of Ministers today, a novelty that "must start already from the next school year". The announcement was made to Tg1 by the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara.

"We want a serious school, a school where diplomas are not given away, we want a school that is up to the extraordinary potential of our young people: therefore - explained the minister - with a decree law the rule against diploma mills will come into force immediately. It will no longer be possible to do 4 years in 1, it is a measure that we strongly wanted".

Among other things, it is expected, as far as we know, the obligation of the electronic register; the admissions commissions will have to have an external president; a boy who wants to skip a year will be examined by an external teacher from a state school.
