The immigration section of the Rome court did not validate the detention of migrants inside the Italian detention center for the repatriation of Gjader to Albania.

The measure had been issued for the twelve foreigners by the Rome police headquarters on 17 October, foreigners who are part of the 16 migrants (ten from Bangladesh and 6 from Egypt) transported to Albania to the CPR of Gjader by the Libra ship of the Italian Navy.

"The two countries from which the migrants come, Bangladesh and Egypt, are not safe, also in light of the ruling of the Court of Justice ", one of the judges of the immigration section of the Rome court summarises in his order.

As far as we know, the detention of at least four migrants has not been validated. According to the judges, the state of freedom can be regained only in Italy and for this reason they will have to be brought back to our country.

League anger: « On the very day of the hearing of the Open Arms trial against Matteo Salvini, the order that does not validate the detention of immigrants in Albania is particularly unacceptable and serious. Pro-immigrant judges should run for office, but know that we will not be intimidated ».
