Investigations continue into the attempted assault on a security van that took place in front of a shopping center in Mestre .

The Police arrested a 65-year-old native of Dorgali , but resident in Friuli, already known to the police for similar crimes and renamed - according to the local press - with the name of "lone wolf" , due to his habit, after the shots , to hide in isolated places, including caves.

According to an initial reconstruction, the 65-year-old tried, gun in hand, to get hold of the bags of money that the vigilantes were loading on the tank, but one of the guards resisted .

In the struggle both the vigilante and the robber were injured : the first by two gunshots, the second to the head.

Both were taken to hospital : the guard was operated on and would not be in danger of life, while the criminal - hit in the head with the butt of a gun - is guarded by the police .

The investigators, as mentioned, continue their investigations, also aimed at understanding whether the 65-year-old acted alone or with the help of accomplices.
