Investigations continue to shed light on the death of Liliana Resinovich, the woman who disappeared from home on December 14 and whose body was found on January 5 in the grove of the former psychiatric hospital of San Giovanni in Trieste,
All the hypotheses remain standing, including that of suicide. While waiting for the investigations to be completed, the Public Prosecutor has ordered that the woman's body may be buried but not cremated.
This is because, if further investigation or further examinations on the corpse should be necessary, the body can be exhumed.
After the CT scan and the autopsy, the prosecutor in charge of the investigations, Maddalena Chergia, however, granted the authorization to allow the funeral.
The response of the toxicological tests is still awaited, for which it would take many days on the organic material taken from the body and those on the objects found on him, on which the Scientific Police is working.
A track, in fact, hypothesizes suicide, with the woman who may have taken some type of drug, and then put on her head one of the plastic bags in which the body was found in the woods.
But, as mentioned, the other leads also remain under investigation by the investigators.
A letter appeared in the local press of Trieste that the woman's brother, Sergio Resinovich, allegedly sent through his lawyers Luigi Fadalti and Francesco Furlan of the Court of Treviso, to the victim's husband, Sebastiano Visintin, asking that Liliana's body be precisely buried and not cremated, as evidently the spouse would have preferred. However, Visintin denied this request, explaining that his wife will have to have "normal" funerals, which should take place privately in the church of San Giovanni Decollato, the district of Trieste where Resinovich lived.
