The investigation is closed for Massimo Adriatici, the former Security Councilor of the Municipality of Voghera who on the evening of 20 July 2021 killed with a gunshot in piazza Youns El Bossettaoui , a 39-year-old Moroccan.

The Pavia Public Prosecutor has decided to uphold the original accusation, namely that of culpable excess of self-defense .

The notification of the deed, which is a prelude to the request for trial, was confirmed by his lawyer, Gabriele Pipiceli.

The prosecutor, he said, carried out a "complex and serene job" despite "the attempts of conditioning with the raving hypotheses without juridical value supported by a part of the press".

"We will evaluate - underlines the lawyer - what defensive initiatives to undertake considering that our client acted in a context of full legitimate defense. It is clear that in any case, in this sad story, the role of the lawyer Adriatici was that of the attacked who defended himself ".

That evening in July there had been a violent discussion between Adriatici and Bossettaoui . The first had called the police to have a patrol arrive in Piazza Meardi, because the second would have annoyed the patrons of a bar. A struggle was born, then a gunshot hit the 39-year-old in the abdomen and killed him. According to Adriatici the bullet had started following a fall , because it had been pushed to the ground by the victim. Why he had drawn the weapon, loaded and with the shot in the barrel, is still to be clarified.
