The decline in the weekly incidence of Covid-19 cases continues at a national level: in the week from 25 February to 3 March there are 433 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants against 552 per 100,000 inhabitants in the previous seven days.
In the period 9-22 February, the mean Rt calculated on symptomatic cases was instead equal to 0.75 (range 0.67-0.96), below the epidemic threshold, compared to 0.73 last week.
All Regions and Autonomous Provinces are classified as “low risk”: in eight cases at least one single resilience alert is highlighted.
The employment rate for Covid patients in medical departments nationwide is 14.7% (Ministry of Health daily survey as of March 3) compared to 18.5% (Ministry of Health survey as of February 24) the previous week.
The occupancy rate of medical departments therefore falls below the alert threshold of 15% for the first time since last December 23, when it was 13.9%. The employment rate in intensive care, on the other hand, was 6.6% (Ministry of Health survey as of March 3) compared to 8.4% (Ministry survey as of February 24) of the previous week.
