The Rt index falls below 1 and the weekly incidence also falls. These are the comforting data coming from the usual weekly Iss-Ministry of Health monitoring on Covid-19.

The Rt index in the period 23 March - 5 April is equal to 0.96 (range 0.92 - 1.02), last week it was equal to 1. The weekly incidence from 15 to 21 April is instead equal to 675 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, were 717 last week.

The employment rate in intensive care remained stable at 4.2%, while in the medical area it rose slightly to 15.8%, compared to 15.6% in the previous survey. The transmissibility index based on cases with hospitalization is in any case below the epidemic threshold of 1 and substantially stable compared to the previous week, equal to 0.91.

The monitoring also shows that the percentage of cases detected through contact tracing is stable at 12%, as is that of cases detected through the appearance of symptoms (41%) and cases diagnosed through screening activities (47%). .
