The parents of Stefano Cucchi, the surveyor who died in October 2009 while in custody, were injured in a road accident caused by a pirate car.

The episode took place yesterday morning on the Rome-Civitavecchia motorway, near Monte Romano.

Describing what happened is the other daughter, Ilaria, in a post on Facebook in which she talks about "a big pirate vehicle" that hit her parents' car "sending it into a spin". “ All the glass in the windows has exploded . My parents were traveling on board and ended up in hospital with the two companions. Medical examinations are underway but fortunately it seems that my mother only broke a shoulder and my father a knee . I am trying to understand the conditions of the two carers who have been admitted to a different hospital. The driver of the investing vehicle escaped. The traffic police are investigating ”. Then the appeal “to anyone who may have seen something. Come forward ”.
