On the first day of the national football team's meeting in Coverciano, the eleventh edition of the Hall of Fame took place. A ceremony that celebrates the protagonists who have marked the history of Italian football. Among those who have entered the Hall of Fame of Italian football, also the rossoblù flag Gianfranco Zola, vice president of the Lega Pro, and the 1982 world champion Alessandro "Spillo” Altobelli.
During the evening there was no shortage of emotions from the Oliena champion. Who on the sidelines of the ceremony declared: «A dream come true. I started playing football inspired by the 1982 World Cup and I dreamed of one day being someone in football."
And again: «Today is one of the most important recognitions I have had and I am proud of it. I dedicate the award to my parents, my family, my teammates and coaches who accompanied me on my journey. I hope it can be an example for some other players who started from the first category."
His wife Franca and children accompanied him. Also given as a gift was the famous 25 shirt, with which he wrote unforgettable pages among the Chelsea ranks. Which earned him the nickname "Magic Box".
