Gallura, with a rate of +2.23%, is the first Italian territory for business growth, even ahead of "economic giants" such as the provinces of Milan and Rome.

The data emerges from the study center of Cipnes, the Gallura industrial consortium , which developed the reports of Unioncamere, Movimprese and the Sassari Chamber of Commerce.

In particular, the city of Olbia and the Costa Smeralda saw an increase of 5.7% compared to 2022 and are the driving force of the entire province, managing to attract investments in various sectors, from nautical to the extra luxury hotel sector international.

In the Cipnes production district in Olbia alone, the past year saw the launch and strengthening of 17 new activities in the nautical sector, confirming the importance of this sector for the economy of Gallura and the whole of Sardinia.

According to the latest available data, there are a total of 19,830 companies active in Gallura as of 31 December 2022, with a growth rate of 2.5%, significantly higher than both the regional one (+1.3%) and the national one (+0 ,7%).

There are 58,623 employees, up from 57,200 on 31 December 2019, the last year before the Covid-19 pandemic.

And the projections for 2024 confirm the growth trend : from healthcare with Qatar involved in the Mater Olbia Hospital, to the shares of the management company of the Olbia airport, passing through the hotel sector with the Costa Smeralda which reaches staggering figures. Not to mention that it is in Costa Smeralda that there will be the entry in 2024 of important brands such as Lvmh, one of the main global luxury groups active in fashion with Louis Vuitton, Dior, Loro Piana, Dom Pérignon, Möet&Chandon, Veuve Clicquot and, among others, in the reception with Belmond and Cheval Blanc.
