Road homicide: this is the charge brought by the Tempio Prosecutor's Office (without adopting precautionary measures) against the Olbia motorist who yesterday allegedly caused the accident that cost the life of Raffaele Masala .
The conditional is a must because the investigations are ongoing, but the first reconstruction of the tragedy of via Nervi provided to the prosecutor by the Olbia local police has led to this first serious hypothesis of a crime. According to the findings of the agents led by commander Giovanni Mannoni, the victim (a 32-year-old young man, originally from Nule) while riding along via Nervi on his motorcycle suddenly found himself in front of the woman's Volkswagen Touran. Again according to the first results of the investigations, the car exited the stop sign on via Asara with an incorrect maneuver .
The local police reported to the prosecutor that the stretch of the accident is a straight road with no obstructions to the view of those entering via Nervi. Furthermore, the signs are correct. Raffaele Masala was traveling in his lane and was unable to avoid the impact of his motorcycle with the car (rear door on the driver's side) .
The local police personnel seized the vehicles involved (the Volkswagen Touran and the victim's Yamaha) for all the necessary technical checks . The woman driving the German car tested negative to all the tests required by law, and left the hospital in Olbia where she had been transferred in a state of shock .
The Tempio Prosecutor's Office has ordered an autopsy on the victim's body. The first documents of the file have been notified to the lawyers of the accused, Pietro Sanna and Guido Datome.
