FdI confirms the growth trend, the Democratic Party also rises, the Five Star Movement collapses, Forza Italia beats the challenge with the League.
This is what emerges from the first screening provided by Opinio Italia for Rai. FdI stands as the leading party in Italy with 28.5%, well above the bar set by Giorgia Meloni at 26. Good result also for the Elly Schlein-led PD which scores 23.7%, a strong growth compared to the political of 2022 in which, among other things, he ran together with Renzi and Calenda. The latter is at risk of being blocked with 3% and 4% of the United States of Europe list.
Giuseppe Conte's 5 Stars collapse - to 10.5% - while surprisingly the majority derby between Antonio Tajani and Matteo Salvini is blue with the leader of FI above 10% - declared objective and exceeded at 10.5% - and the Northern League member who doesn't monetize the Vannacci effect, nailing it at 8%.
Avs, with the wild card Ilaria Salis, easily exceeds the threshold with 6.7% of votes which was welcomed at the electoral committee in Ostiense by applause and shouts of exultation. And from the official announcement that «Ilaria Salis will go to the European Parliament».
The reactions
«Fratelli d'Italia confirms itself as the leading Italian party, surpassing the result of the last political elections», Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni writes on social media, posting a photo in which she makes the victory sign with her hand.
«An extraordinary result – says FI leader Antonio Tajani – Forza Italia is growing compared to all the latest elections. A victory that we dedicate to President Silvio Berlusconi, to all those who have never stopped believing in our flag. From tonight, the center-right and the EPP are stronger."
