Alghero cancels Easter Monday celebrations and postpones the concert with Bertas, Tazenda and Sina to May 1st.
"As a result of the passing of the Holy Father, Pope Francis , as a sign of mourning, the Municipality of Alghero and the Alghero Foundation have decided to cancel the Easter Monday celebrations scheduled for this afternoon and evening ," reads a note.
"The decision was made by Mayor Raimondo Cacciotto and the president of the Foundation Graziano Porcu who wanted to interpret the community's sentiment and express their condolences for the Pope's passing. In making the decision, the availability of the artists who showed great sensitivity was fundamental ", concludes the press release.
