Dinamo calls the DeShawn Stephens center to the island
The American played in A2 with Cagliari five years ago
GM Pasquini has chosen an old acquaintance to fill the hole left by Chianu Onuaku : from Igokea (Bosnia) DeShawn Stephens , the American center who in the 2017/18 season was chosen for the Academy Cagliari, the A2 team, arrives in Sassari controlled by Dinamo. He closed the season with 16 points and 8.5 rebounds.
Player not very tall (203 cm) but with long arms, light (a low weight) but very reactive and vertical, physically and technically more similar to Easley and Shane Lawal than to the latest pivots seen at PalaSerradimigni.
Last season he averaged over 10 points with an average of 6 rebounds with the Bakken Bears , also playing an excellent performance against Dinamo in the Champions League . This season he was traveling at 13 points and 8 rebounds per game, playing in both the Adriatic League and the European cup.
In the Italian Serie A he made an appearance (5 matches) with Fortitudo Bologna in 2019 .
