Just over a week after the triumph in Málaga , Italian tennis is celebrating a new great result: from 2025 to 2027 the Davis Cup Final 8 will be held in Italy. The announcement comes from the Fitp (Italian Tennis and Padel Federation) and the Itf (International Tennis Federation): after three editions in the Spanish city, the last two won by Italy, an agreement has been reached for the change of location. From 18 to 23 November next year, the Salad Bowl will be delivered to the new world champions under the sky of Bologna, a city that with its passion and drive in recent years has allowed the Italians to lay the foundations for two consecutive triumphs. And the idea, still to be confirmed, is to bring the tournament to Bolzano in 2026, that is, to the “home” of Jannik Sinner .

The announcement of the Davis Cup comes, in addition to a few days after the encore success in Málaga, after the confirmation of the Nitto ATP Finals until 2030. The opportunity, strongly desired and obtained by the Fitp, comes with a view to rewarding the passion and dedication of Italian fans in the most spectacular seasons of tennis. The Davis Cup will be broadcast free-to-air on SuperTennis Tv and in streaming on SuperTenniX, as per the agreement announced in recent days .

"2024 ends with the icing on the cake, with a final (and umpteenth) recognition for Italian tennis after a year of memorable and historic triumphs", the satisfaction of Angelo Binaghi from Cagliari, president of Fitp . "The decision follows the four-year broadcast agreement on SuperTennis of the two top team competitions for nations. We can only be happy and proud: all Italian fans, in this way, will be able to follow our sport increasingly live, and for free on free-to-air TV. Our task is to make tennis increasingly popular and prevent the visibility of the feats of our champions from being limited in any way".
