Contributions to companies for quality certifications: green light. 750 thousand euros available

The 5th Commission on “Productive Activities” of the Regional Council, chaired by Antonio Solinas (PD), unanimously gave the green light to the “Implementing provisions for the granting of contributions to Sardinian artisan businesses for the achievement of quality certifications , qualifications and licenses necessary for carrying out specialist activities, and for the implementation of processes aimed at recognising the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) of artisan products” .
This resolution, illustrated by the general director of the Regional Department of Tourism, Angela Maria Porcu , introduces two new features to the measure that has been active for three years: it will be possible to request the contribution also to obtain the recognition of the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) and to renew the certifications.
Last year, the requests that arrived at the Department, explained Porcu, were 134 for a total of 812 thousand euros. For this new call , 750 thousand euros will be available, of which 600 thousand for quality certifications and 150 thousand for the Igp recognition of artisanal products .
