Counting for the municipal elections starts at 2pm.

There are 27 Sardinian centers that voted to choose the mayors and renew the municipal councils. Five those with more than 15 thousand inhabitants and with the possibility of a run-off (to be held on 22 and 23 June) if one of the candidates does not exceed 50% of the votes. Among these, the run-off in Alghero must be excluded, where only two candidates are running.

Below is the list of municipalities voting, candidates and elected mayors.

Cagliari: The only center for which the exit polls prepared for Rai by Opinio Italia are available. And there is a clear victory in the first round for the broad candidate Massimo Zedda, given between 59 and 63% . Alessandra Zedda of the centre-right between 31% and 35%, followed by Giuseppe Farris (civic) between 2.4% and 4.5% and Claudia Ortu (Potere al Popolo) between 0.5% and 2.5 %. No findings for Emanuela Corda.

Monserrato: The challenge is between Tommaso Locci (outgoing mayor, civic), Valentina Picciau (M5s and Progressists), Efisio Sanna (Pd) and Alberto Corda (centre-right).

Sinnai: The candidates are Maria Barbara Pusceddu for the wide field, Aldo Lobina (civic) and Aurora Cappai (Forza Italia + civics).

Alghero: Two-way challenge, opposing Marco Tedde for the centre-right and Raimondo Cacciotto for the wide field.

Sassari: Five mayoral candidates. Gavino Mariotti for the centre-right, without the centrists but with Action; Giuseppe Mascia for the wide field; the civics Mariano Brianda, Giuseppe Palopoli and Nicola Lucchi, supported by Sardinia at Centro 20Venti.

Calasetta: The challenge is between Antonio Puggioni, Silvano Farris and Agostino Armeni.

Esterzili: Two-way challenge between Renato Melis and Isabella Boi.

Genoni: Gianluca Serra against Benedetto Roccotelli.

Guasila: Paola Casula challenges Giantonio Orrù.

Samatzai: Enrico Cocco challenges Nicola Piga.

San Gavino Monreale: There are three candidates, Stefano Altea, Bebo Casu and Nicola Ennas.

Sant'Anna Arresi: Paolo Luigi Dessì against Maddalena Garau.

Serrenti: Pantaleo Talloru already elected mayor, quorum exceeded. He was the only candidate.

Bosa: The three candidates are Giuseppe Ibba, Alessandro Campus and Alfonso Marras.

Magomadas: Two-way challenge between Emanuele Cauli and Angelo Masia.

Sini: Elio Simbula against Andrea Carracoi.

Sorradile: Two-way challenge between Giampaolo Loi and Massimo Zaru.

Onanì: Clara Michelangeli challenges Matteo Zoroddu.

Ortueri: The outgoing mayor Francesco Carta was confirmed , he was the only candidate. The quorum of 40% has been exceeded.

Sarule: Two-way challenge between Paolo Ledda and Maurizio Sirca.

Villagrande Strisaili: The only candidate,the outgoing mayor Alessio Seoni, was confirmed by exceeding the quorum.

Castelsardo: Antonio Maria Capula challenges Maria Lucia Tirotto.

Golfo Aranci: Giuseppe Fasolino, regional councilor and only candidate, was elected mayor with exceeding the quorum of 40%.

Illorai: Gianluca Great challenge Sebastiano Titino Cau.

Putifigari: Two-way challenge between Giacomo Contini and Antonella Contini.

Sorso: Fabrizio Demelas against Maria Giovanna Delrio.

Villanova Monteleone: The challenge against the quorum was won by Quirico Meloni, who is the new mayor of the town .
