Como-Cagliari, the early match of Serie A's eleventh matchday, scheduled for Saturday at 3:00 PM at the Sinigaglia stadium, will be officiated by Ivano Pezzuto. The Lecce referee will be assisted by Alberto Tegoni (Milan) and Alex Cavallina (Lecce), with Mario Perri (Roma 1) acting as fourth official. Gianluca Aureliano (Bologna) will be in charge of VAR, with Francesco Fourneau (Roma 1) acting as assistant.

Pezzuto, 41, returns to refereeing in Serie A after two seasons: the last, and only one from 2023-2024 to the present, was a 0-0 draw between Monza and Bologna on September 28, 2023. He has officiated 21 matches in the top flight, from 2014-2015 onwards, but in the last two only in Serie B and the Coppa Italia. His record against Cagliari was one win, one draw, and one defeat : 0-0 in his debut on December 16, 2020, in Parma, a 2-1 home draw against Roma on October 27, 2021, and a 3-1 win over Carrarese in the Coppa Italia on August 12, 2024.
