First training session of the week for Cagliari, who met this afternoon at the Crai Sport Center in Assemini to begin preparation for the match against Genoa. A match, the one on Sunday at 12:30 at the Ferraris, which will see a substantial change on the opponents' bench given the dismissal of Alberto Gilardino and the arrival in his place (now only to be made official) of Patrick Vieira . Today Davide Nicola worked again without the eight players called up by the national teams: in the evening the return of the one who was the last to leave, Mateusz Wieteska who lost yesterday with Poland. The defender should be back in the group tomorrow morning .
Today's session began with activation exercises, accompanied by technical work. After exercises dedicated to ball possession, we continued with a session of crossing and conclusions on goal and then closed with a match played on half the pitch.
In the late afternoon, shortly after training, Matteo Prati played ninety minutes in the friendly match that saw Italy Under-21 draw 2-2 against Ukraine in La Spezia.
