Having put the defeat against Inter on Friday night behind them, and the weekend off granted by Fabio Pisacane, Cagliari met today at the Crai Sport Center to begin preparations for the next round of Serie A. Next Monday, at 6:30 pm, the rossoblù will host Atalanta at the Unipol Domus in the penultimate matchday of the championship .
Luca Mazzitelli and Leonardo Pavoletti underwent personalized training. The striker missed the last three matchdays, while the midfielder—injured against Cremonese on April 11th—attended the presentation of the 29th edition of the Manlio Selis Tournament in Budoni, where he received the "Ragazzi del Selis" award. "This is one of the first tournaments I've played at an international level; these are experiences that foster competition and help you grow," he said, recalling his participation in 2008. "There are five games left in the championship. We need to get as many points as possible, starting with the next match, so as to secure safety as quickly as possible . Our destiny is in our hands, and we're ready to go and get the points we need to achieve our goal."
The Rossoblù began today's session with technical exercises accompanied by work on ball possession. The session concluded with a match played in small spaces. The next training session is on Wednesday morning .
