Almost exactly a month after his shocking split with the club, Sebastiano Esposito is leaving Cagliari during his training camp in Ponte di Legno. The striker, following his medical , signed a loan deal with Sassuolo with an option to buy.
The Rossoblu club announced the transfer in a very brief statement, without providing any further details. Esposito's return to Sardinia is expected to take place on the second weekend of January, when Cagliari plays Sassuolo.
The Esposito deal brings Riccardo Ciervo to Cagliari . The 2002-born winger from Latina has also signed on loan with an option to buy. He had been owned by the Emilian club since January 2022, but—due to various temporary transfers—he only made his debut for the black-and-greens last Sunday against Atalanta.
