The now former Juventus coach was fired for just cause . Allegri received the letter of dismissal after being sacked on 17 May for «certain behaviors during and after the Italian Cup final which the club deemed incompatible with the values of Juventus and with the behavior that those who represent it must adopt ».

Allegri received the notification of his dismissal while he was in London to follow the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
