These days they should have been on stage in San Marino, at the European finals of the Tour Music Fest 2024 , but this time TeeDoò, a band from Abbasante, have decided to give up participating . The costs are too high to participate in the event at a time in their career that sees them busy with the very short publication of their second album. But the satisfactions are not lacking.
The group is made up of three young people, all from Abbasanta: Gioele Medde , born in 2000, computer programmer and bassist of the group (joined the group two years after its birth), Claudio Murgia , born in 1997, engaged in a PhD with the University of Sassari, the group's voice as well as guitarist and Paolo Licheri, born in 1995, engaged in obtaining a master's degree in Psychology, drummer and voice of TeeDoò. A name that was born almost by chance, an onomatopoeia, the result of a funny sound that one of the group's members repeated . The debut album is on Spotify.
"Now we are working on the new album that will be released in two months . It is a more mature work than the first one. It contains eleven tracks", explain the guys. Songs that deal with various themes, that talk about feelings, about how things are born, about attentions, about disappointments, about memories and even politics.
"We make our own songs , the lyrics are mainly written by Claudio, then we arrange the pieces all together. Ours is a singer-songwriter style with funky, blues, fusion influences. The lyrics are basically introspective, often with an ironic and critical look at the contemporary", explain TeeDoò.
Giving up on the festival wasn't easy. "Participating in the Tour Music Fest was a wonderful experience, which gave us the opportunity to compare ourselves with other realities. Now, however, they had to make a choice. We have significant costs for the publication of the new album and then we are registered with Musicultura, now we'll see what happens", conclude the guys.
