Volodymyr Zelensky visiting Kherson after the Russians withdrew from the city, which had returned to Ukrainian hands.

The president watched the flag-raising and sang the national anthem: " It is impossible to kill Ukraine ," he declared, defining the Russian withdrawal from the city as "the beginning of the end of the war."

The visit lasted about half an hour: "We are moving forward - said Zelensky -, now we are ready for peace, peace for our whole country ".

Zelensky highlighted the progress made by the Kiev army: «We are arriving step by step in all the temporarily occupied territories of our country. Of course, it is a long and difficult journey».

Ready to reopen negotiations, but without giving up a millimeter of territory: «We are ready for peace for our entire country. We respect international law and the sovereignty of each state, that's why we will continue to liberate the territories occupied by Russia, but we are not interested in the territory of other countries ».

Finally, Zelensky recalled the price Ukraine is paying for this war : «Nobody is giving anything away, the price of this war is very high . People were injured, a large number of people died, there were fierce battles, and the result is that today we are in the Kherson region."
