Ukrainian special forces struck the Russian FSB headquarters in the village of Genicheska Hirka, Kherson Oblast, causing around a hundred deaths and injuries.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this on his X account, attaching to his message a video showing the moment when Kiev's drones simultaneously hit buildings in a village. "The Russians must feel the need to end this war," the Ukrainian leader concluded.
Meanwhile, Russia and Belarus conducted another joint military exercise , which was also attended by Presidents Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko via video conference. During the test , two types of intercontinental missiles and two hypersonic missiles were also launched.
The Russian Defense Ministry, quoted by Interfax, specified that a Yars intercontinental ballistic missile was launched from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome at the Kura test range in Kamchatka. From the Barents Sea, a strategic nuclear submarine launched a Sineva intercontinental missile, and a frigate launched a Zirkon hypersonic carrier, targeting the Chizha test range. Finally, a MiG-31 jet launched a Kinzhal hypersonic missile. For their part, Belarusian forces launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Kapustin Yar site.
Around 65,000 military personnel, 200 launch vehicles and eight strategic submarines took part in the exercises.
