Yet another shipwreck in the waters of the central Mediterranean.

The report comes from the Afroplanete.com website according to which a boat with 49 people on board sank off the Tunisian coast, and at least 35 people would have lost their lives, while 15 would have been rescued.

According to the same source, the sinking of the boat was caused "by strong waves, which made it difficult for the passengers and crew to move and remove the water from the boat".

Meanwhile, in these hours the governor of Sicily Renato Schifani has raised the alarm: «We are on the eve of a wave of migration from North African countries. We are moving towards a state of emergency. The flows have stopped in the last few days only due to bad weather. But they will resume with intensity in the coming weeks. To limit them - concludes Schifani - it is necessary to intervene on the countries of departure and, among these, on Tunisia. Only the guarantee of its institutional stability can allow the blocking of the migratory phenomenon".
