A new version of the timeline of the Covid pandemic appears on the pages of the New York Times. The first case, according to the reconstruction of the famous Science, would have been that of a vendor from the Wuhan animal market and not an accountant who lived miles away as established by the World Health Organization.

Scientist Michael Worobey, an expert in tracing the evolution of viruses at the University of Arizona, found discrepancies between the public information available but also through interviews conducted in China. His conclusion is based on the fact that the links between the vendor at Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market and the first hospitalized patients suggest that the virus is coming from the market.

A theory that now rekindles the debate on the origins of the spread of the coronavirus between the escape from the Wuhan laboratory and the infection from animal to man.
