The meeting, filtered from the Windsor home, was organized and kept secret until the end and represents something more than a simple intermediate stop on the journey between the USA and Holland, where the couple was invited to inaugurate, at the Aja, the Invictus Games, or the Olympics of the military who have been disabled in service of which Harry - a veteran of Afghanistan - is the patron.

Harry hasn't seen his grandmother in person since last July, while Meghan last met the queen two years ago. The Sussexes also met Prince Charles, but not much has leaked face-to-face.

According to rumors, the queen has shown herself to be "affectionate", while with her father Harry she would have dealt with "concrete" issues, such as financial ones (Harry has opened a legal dispute with the London government for public protection that is no longer guaranteed to his family at home).

It is not excluded, however, that Charles and his second son also spoke of Harry's autobiography, soon to be published, which according to the well-informed could contain new thorny revelations for the royal family, as references to the alleged prejudices attributed long ago by the Sussexes themselves. to the Windsor entourage, regarding the skin color of their eldest son Archie.

The latter the queen has not seen for two years, while the other granddaughter Lilibet, born 11 months ago in the US, the sovereign has never seen her in person, except, it seems, for some sporadic connection via Skype.
