One victim was reported in the attack carried out by a 36-year-old armed with a katana this morning in London , near the Hainault underground station . This is a 13 year old boy, he was among the five injured initially reported by the police.

Two of the injured are citizens who were passing near the Tube station in the suburban neighborhood of the British capital while the other two are police officers.

The very serious event that occurred in the capital of the United Kingdom was commented by the Home Secretary James Cleverly, who specified that it was not terrorism and who expressed solidarity with those affected .

Similar words were expressed by the Labor opposition leader Keir Starmer who described the news arriving from Hainault as "very bad".

The episode of violence comes two days before local elections on May 2 in England and Wales, which include the vote for mayor of London where Labour's Sadiq Khan appears certain to be confirmed for a new mandate but is targeted by his rival Tory, Susan Hall, on issues such as the perception of insecurity in the metropolis.

It wouldn't be terrorism : the 36-year-old responsible for the attack, who was arrested, is probably deranged. He now faces charges of murder and attempted multiple murder.
