A shooting occurred in a retirement home in Daruvar, 130 km from Zagreb.

Five people died, three were injured.

From an initial reconstruction, a man entered the structure and opened fire, then fled.

The police stopped him in a bar not far from the crime scene, he is a veteran born in 1973.

Among the victims is his mother, the others are guests of the retirement home and employees.
