North Korean leader Kim Jong-un expressed full support for Moscow's war against Ukraine and condemned the US and the West for allowing Kiev to use long-range missiles in attacks against Russia, calling the move a "direct" military intervention.

Meeting Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov in Pyongyang on Friday, amid deepening bilateral military cooperation, Kim called it “Russia’s exercise of the right to self-defense” to “take resolute action to make hostile forces pay the price,” the state-run KCNA news agency reported.

Russia also confirms the strengthening of the military axis with North Korea after the alarms raised by Western countries and Seoul about the presence of North Korean troops on Russian territory. Moscow and Pyongyang are expanding their relations "in all areas, including military cooperation," said Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov in a surprise visit.

Meeting with his North Korean counterpart, No Kwang Chol, Belousov stressed the importance of the strategic cooperation treaty signed this year between the two countries, which among other things, he said, will promote "a new Eurasian security system". A confirmation, if there was still any need, of the fact that the Indo-Pacific region is welded to the European continent , and with the conflict in Ukraine, as a global battleground between the West and the front of countries that denounce its claims to hegemony.

Proof of this was a Russian-Chinese strategic air patrol exercise - the ninth since the beginning of the year - over the Sea of Japan , which involved five aircraft from Beijing and six from Moscow and which prompted South Korea to put its fighter jets on alert.
