New Russian attacks in Ukraine , where the rain of missiles hit the city of Kryvyi Rih , in the central-southern part of the country during the night . Two industrial complexes were hit, as the head of the regional military administration, Sergiy Lysak, announced on Telegram.

“Tonight the enemy attacked Kryvyi Rih again with rockets. Two industries have been affected. A 38-year-old man was injured. He is hospitalized in non-serious conditions,” reads the post.

The attack caused extensive damage, including to pipelines , Lysak added.

It is the second time that Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of President Volodymyr Zelenskiy , has been targeted by Russian attacks this week. At least 12 people were killed and many more injured after a missile hit an apartment building and grocery store in the city on Tuesday morning.

Ukrainian air defenses shot down a cruise missile and all Shahed-136/131-20 drones in total - launched by Russian forces over the country.

Moscow launched four Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles from as many Tu-95 strategic aircraft based in the Caspian Sea: in addition to the one shot down, the other three hit the two industrial buildings of Kryvyi Rih.

Explosions were reported overnight in a number of other Ukrainian cities, including Kharkiv and Odessa.
