Israel launches "large and significant" military operation in West Bank. Under the direction of the political security cabinet, the IDF, the Shin Bet intelligence agency and the police launched an operation dubbed "Iron Wall" in Jenin, northern West Bank.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also confirmed this, speaking of an operation against terrorism: "This - he says - is a further step towards achieving the goal we have set ourselves, to strengthen security in Judea and Samaria. We act systematically and decisively against the Iranian axis wherever it extends its hands: in Gaza, in Lebanon, in Syria, in Yemen, in Judea and Samaria. And it does not end here".

The first victims of the attacks in Jenin have already been counted: at least six, with dozens injured, reports the Ministry of Health of the Palestinian National Authority.

And in response to Tel Aviv's offensive, Hamas urges Palestinians in the West Bank to intensify fighting against Israel, calling for "escalation in the West Bank in all its forms to confront the terror of Israel and the settlers."
