Three people have been arrested by police in Hong Kong for the murder of Abby Choy, a 28-year-old model and influencer. The young woman was killed, her body was dismembered and placed in a refrigerator of a recently rented and unfurnished house in a village, suggesting that she had been taken specifically to dispose of the body.
The father, mother and older brother of the ex-husband ended up in handcuffs while the traces of the man were lost. A dispute over economic issues was ongoing between the victim and those arrested.
Abby just a week ago appeared in the famous fashion magazine l'Officiel.
"We believe that between the girl and her ex-husband's family there were many disputes over money, involving large sums," the police said, "someone was dissatisfied with how the victim managed her assets."
She was reported missing on Wednesday. She was last seen by her ex-husband's brother, who also worked as a chauffeur. Police also said the family lied to mislead investigators.
