This was announced by the Ministry of Defense.
About ten days ago, Duilio, when it was not yet Aspides' operational base, had foiled another Houthi attack by shooting down a drone .
Meanwhile , US forces have announced that they have destroyed an underwater drone and anti-ship ballistic missiles in a series of attacks against the positions of the Yemeni Houthi rebels , who threaten to "intensify" their operations in the Red Sea during Ramadan in support of the population of Gaza.
In a statement, the US Middle East Command (Centcom) said it carried out six strikes that "destroyed" this underwater drone and "18 anti-ship ballistic missiles" in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen after firing at a ship in Red Sea.
