Hamburg airport closed due to attack threat: flight from Tehran targeted

“Due to an attack threat on a plane from the Iranian capital Tehran, flight operations at Hamburg airport have been completely suspended.”

The German agency Dpa writes it: since 12.40 "there have been neither take-offs nor landings".

According to a spokesperson for the Federal Police, it was the Bundespolizei itself that received an email with the threat of an attack against the Tehran-Hamburg flight and that "this warning was taken very seriously".

The plane, which landed in Hamburg at around 12.20pm, is now in a special area. The 198 passengers and 16 crew members were disembarked and subjected to security checks in a separate area. Aircraft and baggage searched.
