The roof and upper floors of the Ukrainian Council of Ministers building, the seat of the government in Kiev, were damaged by the Russian attack, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said. Hundreds of drones and missiles were launched overnight , and at least three residential buildings caught fire. Four people were killed, including a one-year-old child and a second child, just a few months old, who died along with his mother . Dozens were injured.
According to the capital's mayor, Vitali Klitschko, the burned-out buildings are located in the Sviatoshynskyi and Darnytskyi districts. In one case, several floors were completely destroyed.
"Russia launched at least 810 drones and 13 missiles against Ukraine from Saturday evening to Sunday morning, the largest air strike of the war," the Ukrainian Air Force reported. "Air defenses shot down or suppressed 747 drones and four missiles."
