Dakar, an Italian spectator died: he was hit by a vehicle

An Italian tourist died in an accident on the 2023 Dakar rally track .

The organizers of the race let it be known that the tourist was run over and killed during the ninth stage, between Riyadh and Harad, in Saudi Arabia.

" A spectator of Italian origin who was behind a dune was injured on the rally track ," Amaury Sport Organization said in a press release.

Evacuated by helicopter, our compatriot died during the transfer to the hospital.
