One person has died, three are seriously injured and forty are still stuck in midair in the cabins of a cable car in India after an accident in the state of Jharkhand.

The Civil Protection, intervened to rescue some terrified tourists, including several children, asked for the intervention of the army to complete the rescue operations.

Forty people are still stuck in ten cabins swinging from cables along the stationary line.

Civil protection is providing water and food pending the intervention of the military, which will most likely have to use helicopters.
