An explosion that occurred in a restaurant caused the death of 31 people, many injured and among them one in very serious condition.

The tragedy occurred last night in a restaurant in Yinchuan, China.

According to the Xinhua news agency, "a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) leak caused an explosion during the operation of a barbecue restaurant".

The roar was registered at the Fuyang Barbecue Restaurant, in a residential area of the capital of the autonomous region of Ningxia, on the eve of the Dragon Boat Festival, a three-day event for which many Chinese gather with family and friends.

The police arrested 9 people, including the owner of the restaurant, and their assets were frozen.
