Road accident and not an act of terrorism. These are the conclusions reached by the FBI regarding the car that exploded on the bridge that connects the United States and Canada to Niagara Falls. The case then passes to the local police.

“A search of the scene revealed no explosive materials and no link to terrorism was identified,” read a statement published on the American agency's X account.

The vehicle, as explained by a spokesperson for the mayor's office, was attempting to enter the US when it exploded after accelerating during the checkpoint. The two people on board died. Through checks, the police identified the owner by ascertaining that shortly before the car had been parked near a casino in New York.
