A five-year-old boy who went missing in December was found lifeless in a freezer in the home in Las Vegas where he lived with his mother and her partner.

The mother's boyfriend was arrested on kidnapping and murder charges.

The investigation started with a note that the mother gave to the other child, asking him to give it to the teacher at school: "I am being held against my will, I have not seen my son since 11 December and I fear he is dead", it was written on the note.

As soon as the teacher received it, he notified the authorities. Police officers stationed outside the house to monitor her, until they saw the couple leave the house. Then they stopped the two for questioning, and she explained everything, saying she was abused by her boyfriend, who forbade her to ask questions about her missing son and to enter the garage.

And it was in the garage that the agents found the lifeless body of the child inside a freezer. The man was immediately arrested.
