He wins but by a narrower margin than he deserved. Dinamo Women won the first round at PalaSerradimigni against Namur Capitale 79-73. In a week in Belgium she will therefore have to aim for victory to earn the round of 16 of the women's Eurocup because the margin is too limited to think about defending it.

It's a real shame because in the 37th minute the Sassari team actually had a 15 point lead thanks to the Carangelo-Raca duo (48 points between them) but also to Joens and Toffolo, extraordinary in defense and rebounding, as well as scoring 8 points.

The Walloons start strong: 0-4 in the 2nd minute. Carangelo's reaction produces a 7-0 break but the teammates, apart from Raca, struggle to get going and the score remains balanced: 14-13 at 8'. The entry of the Italians gives impetus to Sassari who reaches +6 despite the guests capturing 9 offensive rebounds.

Namur also started the second quarter well and got within 1 several times, but each time they were repelled by Raca who already scored 12 points in the 14th minute. If after a while the gap is limited to only 5 points it is because Hollingshead and Kaczmarczyk made a silent scene in attack.

In the third quarter, steal by Carangelo and triple by Joens for the first double-digit lead: 38-28 in the 23rd minute. Raca is unstoppable and closes the gap from the line: +13 in the 25th minute and also +15 with the Belgians scoring just one basket. Namur puts the ball in the zone and the long Daniel makes himself heard inside the area: 49-44 in the 29th minute. Sassari saves itself by taking advantage of free throws.

In the last quarter, 5 points from a wild Carangelo and a shot from outside by Toffolo give Dinamo oxygen again: 62-51 in the 33rd minute. Triples from Carangelo and Joens give the score +15 in the 37th minute. In the final, the Sassari team relaxes and the Belgians get too close, leaving the qualification question open .
