Women's basketball: Dinamo's five in Faenza is worth seventh place
And this week in Belgium the Eurocup round of 16 is up for grabs
Dinamo Women have definitely risen in level in the last month: the 74-68 win in Faenza is their fifth consecutive victory in the championship. It is worth seventh place in the women's Serie A. And it wasn't so obvious after a complicated start due to a terrible calendar with many away games and with the insertion times of six new players out of eight.
Coach Antonello Restivo was satisfied: «Match played very well by the girls. I asked for great concentration because we knew that with the energy spent in the Eurocup it wouldn't be easy on a pitch where everyone struggled. The girls did well in the decisive moment to raise the defensive intensity and do a good job rebounding."
The week offers two commitments: Thursday in Belgium in Namur for the return of the Eurocup play-ins and Saturday at PalaSerradimigni against San Martino di Lupari.
Coach Restivo says: «Now we concentrate on the next two matches, in Belgium we will have to try to take away the match, then we will think about San Martino».
