The Sardinia Region has published a new call for proposals for the promotion of wine on third-country markets, for the 2026-2027 financial year.
"This strategic measure," explains a note from Villa Devoto, "will provide over €2 million to support the promotion of Sardinian wineries in non-European Union markets."
"With this call for proposals, we are making significant resources available to support promotion in non-EU markets, an action that complements the other policies implemented to strengthen the internationalization of our agri-food production," says Agriculture Councilor Francesco Agus . He adds: "We want to support Sardinian companies in opening up to new markets and consolidating existing commercial relationships , providing concrete support to those who invest in the quality and promotion of our products."
The project finances initiatives aimed at strengthening the presence of Sardinian wine on international markets, supporting participation in trade fairs and events, communication and promotional activities, studies and analyses for the development of new markets, and initiatives dedicated to consolidating existing commercial outlets.
"Participating in major international trade fairs, reaching new consumers, and building strong sales networks means creating new economic opportunities for businesses and local areas. Promoting our wines abroad," Agus concludes, "is not just about the product itself, but also about conveying Sardinia's identity, culture, and quality to the world."
Applications must be submitted by June 15, 2026.
