Jannik Sinner prevails in his Wimbledon debut after a much tougher match than expected. The South Tyrolean only defeats Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic, ranked number 50 in the ATP, in the fifth set, overcoming deficits in both the first and third sets: the final score was 4-6, 6-3, 6-7, 6-2, 6-3 in favor of the world number 1.

The Italian had a scare during the third set, falling to the baseline during a point but without serious consequences.
