Wimbledon: Sinner beats Japanese player Mochizuki in three sets and advances to the quarterfinals

Jannik Sinner beats Japanese Mochizuki and reaches the Wimbledon quarterfinals.

The world No. 1 won in three sets, 6-3 7-6 6-3.

The South Tyrolean will face German Jan-Lennard Struff. This will be Struff's first appearance in the final eight of a Grand Slam event. The two have met three times, all dating back to 2024, and all won by the Italian.

At Wimbledon, Novak Djokovic also continues his run: although far from his best tennis, no longer as explosive as in his heyday, the Serbian champion overcame Roman Safiullin to reach the quarterfinals for the ninth consecutive time and the 17th of his career.
