Flavio Cobolli beats Australian Alex De Minaur in three sets and reaches the quarterfinals at Wimbledon for the second consecutive year .

The Roman tennis player, number 10 in the world, won 7-5, 7-6, 6-3 in two and a half hours. The first set wasn't a great one, with Cobolli taking advantage of the Australian's many unforced chances in the final minutes to break and win 7-5. The second set was a rollercoaster: Flavio immediately led by a break, then the Italian collapsed and De Minaur held on until the score was 5-2, but Flavio managed to rally him and take the tiebreak, which he won 7-4 . In the third and final set, the Australian took a break lead at 3-2, but from that point on he didn't score another game.

Cobolli, therefore, after losing to Djokovic in the quarterfinals last year and losing to Zverev in the Roland Garros final, confirms his status as one of the best tennis players around. In the quarterfinals, he'll face the winner of the match between Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov and local hero Arthur Fery , the tournament's big surprise.

For the seventh consecutive Grand Slam, Italy has advanced at least two players to the quarterfinals. Tomorrow, Sinner plays his quarterfinal against Germany's Struff .

Jasmine will now face the Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk.
