“Inflated” prices on the Volotea website.
A technical problem, explains the Department of Transport, relating to flights in territorial continuity to and from Sardinia.
Anyone who in the last few hours attempted to book a continuous flight by accessing the Spanish company's website from a computer, has seen undue costs added for the purchase of baggage.
"Following some reports, the Department of Transport promptly contacted the carrier to obtain clarifications on the matter - reads a note -. The company responded that it is a technical problem with the site that will be fixed by the end of this weekend. In the meantime, it is possible to use the smartphone app where the anomaly does not occur. Users who have inadvertently purchased superfluous services by paying an undue cost will be duly reimbursed, as assured by Volotea. By Monday, the carrier will publish an announcement on its site in which it will communicate the reimbursement methods".
