3 to zero and the Italy of volleyball flies to the semifinals of the European Championships. The Azzurri overwhelmed France at the Pala Wanny in Florence led by Captain Sylla, Pietrini and Antropova who showed all their strength right from the start of the match.

First set closed in just over a quarter of an hour on 25-14. In the second, the Italians made some mistakes in attack and reception while the French found more concreteness.

Coach Mazzanti also played the Egonu card, author of four important points, and Italy shrugged off tensions and fears, recovering and going forward until 22-20.

Second fraction of the match awarded on 29-27 and the third set seemed like a blue solo, amidst the irrepressible joy of the Pala Wanny sold out in every order of place, where the superiority of Pietrini and teammates proved to be granite in both phases of the game closing with a clear 25-13 and detaching the well-deserved ticket for the semi-final in Brussels.

In a few hours it will be known whether the Azzurri will face Turkey or Poland.
